Floating/Weather/Lodging Policies

Floating Rental and Reservation Policy:

Saturdays and Sundays in July and August, reservations required to guarantee rental.

You have until 48 hours before your trip to make changes or cancel WITHOUT PENALTY. We will do our best to accommodate every situation, but we will not accommodate the really silly ones from those looking for refunds one hour before their trip. Please understand, we staff our business based on our reservations... we still need to pay our employees. Please respect us enough to show up or to cancel in a timely manner.

On the day of your trip you will pay for whatever equipment you have reserved, whether you use it or not, please keep this in mind! We sell out of certain equipment often on weekends and that means we turn away potential customers away based on your reservation. Please be respectful of that.

Weather:
The 48 Hour Cancelation Policy will give you enough time to look at the weather report FOR NEWAYGO and decide if you want to keep your reservation or change or cancel. If you keep it and it rains, we still operate in the rain but if it actually storms (thunder / lightning) we will not put you on the river and will offer you a rain check. If you decide to go and there is a 'pop up' storm that we were not aware of, we ask you to pull off the river and wait it out being as respectful as possible of private property; there is VERY limited public access points on the river, so rescue is not an option once you choose to go. Mother Nature is fun in Michigan!


Basic:
If you choose to start your trip (get on the bus to go up river or jump on the river at our location), there will be NO REFUNDS.

You must be 18 years old or older or be accompanied by a guardian to rent our equipment. Those under 18 can make special arrangements with guardians signing release.

Everyone is required to sign a release or be signed for.

This is a family-friendly business and we have zero tolerance for abusive behavior and language.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime.

Damaged Equipment Policy:

All of our rafts and tubes have held air for at least 24 hours. Therefore, if you find yourself on the river with a deflating piece of equipment, it is because you ran into something, sat on the valve causing it to open or had ashes fall onto it causing a small hole.

We will do our best to get you new equipment at no charge, but you are responsible for the equipment and bringing it to the ending point - all inflatable equipment has safety chambers keeping it at least partially inflated.

NO REFUNDS or discounts for this type of situation. We do our best to make the trip right without charging extra, please don't insult us by asking for a refund on top of it.

Float Weather Policy

We do not force people to go if there is a chance of inclement weather.

If you choose to start your trip (get on the bus to go up rive or jump on the river at our location) there will be NO REFUNDS.

If you need an additional pick up or river rescue, you will be charged a minimum of $20 (rate varies based on location / number of people to pick up).

You have until 48 hours before your trip to cancel if you feel the weather will not be acceptable. If you have pre-paid for your trip and on the day of your trip, you choose not to go because of inclement weather, you will be given a rain-check.

If there is a "Pop-Up" storm, there is no way for us to predict those - we will do our best to help get you off the river without charge, but there will be NO REFUNDS. You will be charged for any deserted equipment.

Lodging Rental and Reservation Policy:

Credit Card is required to reserve.

50% deposit required two weeks before rental

100% payment required one week before rental

Cancellations:

Two week notice or more = full refund (less 5% administrative fee)

One week notice = 50% refund

Less than one week = no refund

Cottages are rented regardless of weather.
